PRINTED GLASS DECORATING METHODS
There are many different industry techniques when it comes to decorating customized glasses. In order to provide custom beer glasses to your exact specification, Boelter employs every possible technique, including state of the art UV decorating equipment for improved vibrancy and color selection.
UV Cured Organic Ink
This method gives you options to a wide color palette and results in a glossy finish for your printed glasses. Organic material is cured with a UV light to allow multiple color printing that is dishwasher safe, but less scratch resistant than ceramic enamels.
Non-Lead Enamel
A thermoplastic (wax) carrier is used in this method, which allows for multi-color applications on branded glass. Heavy metal free inks mechanically bond to the surface, creating a scratch proof lasting design that is dishwasher safe.
Decals
With a water slide decal, you can use more intricate designs to produce replicate your logo on custom pint glasses. The decal process uses ceramic enamels and organic inks that are applied on a special paper rather than the branded glass itself. Decals are applied by hand and allows application to many different shapes.
Nucleation
This technique accelerates carbonation by laser etching the bottom of your custom beer glasses to help build and retain the beer’s head for a more flavorful experience. Having your logo at the bottom of the printed glass is a great branding strategy as well.
Full Frost Etching
This technique uses an organic spray process to create a frosted effect for customized glasses, offering an alternative to acid etching, but with less environmental impact.
